New hub to bring more than 250 new job opportunities to the city and contributes to the growth of Romania’s economy, while supporting Veeam’s growing international footprint

Bucharest, Romania: May 27, 2016 - Veeam® Software, the innovative provider of solutions that deliver Availability for the Always-On Enterprise™, today announced that it is expanding its global footprint with a brand new office in Bucharest.  This new facility will deliver on the needs of Veeam’s growing customer and partner ecosystem across the world, establishing one of the biggest Veeam hubs in Europe creating more than 250 new job opportunities. This new facility complements existing hubs in Saint Petersburg, Columbus and Atlanta, while adding to a slew of recent openings across the globe – such as Beijing and Tokyo – which will support Veeam’s accelerated growth trajectory.

Modern enterprises are becoming software-driven businesses, so IT departments can no longer get away with services that are ‘ok’; always-on Availability is paramount.  By this, enterprises need to ensure that access to applications and data is available 24/7/365 and such Availability is essential as businesses look to embrace Digital Transformation.  Veeam is a pioneer in this space, delivering Availability for the Always-On Enterprise to more than 193,000 companies across the globe.  Over the past few years Veeam has grown at an exponential rate, steadily increasing its revenue year-on-year to reach almost $500 million in 2015. To fuel future growth, the company needs to scale and this means expanding Veeam`s global operations to deliver Availability to companies of all sizes.

“Veeam’s new facility in Bucharest is further evidence of the company’s growing penetration in the Availability market. In the first quarter 2016, Veeam has added close to 11,000 new customers across the world and has continued to drive consistent growth across all markets,” said Ratmir Timashev, CEO at Veeam. “Veeam is the only company delivering on the needs of modern business, empowering Digital Transformation in all sectors, and with this new facility we will be able to evolve our capabilities even further and be closer to our customers.”

Veeam’s Bucharest office will become one of the key business centers that supports Veeam’s global activities.  The company plans to increase its presence over the coming years to support Veeam`s continuous business growth and this new hub is expected to reach more than 250 employees in the next three years, in sectors such as finances, marketing and sales, to support the company’s international operations.

“Romania is one of our priorities in terms of investments in EMEA, mainly thanks to the high level of skilled professionals in the market,” added Timashev. “Over the next few years we plan to create more than 250 jobs, opening positions across all levels of the business.”

“The expansion of Veeam`s operations in Romania demonstrates that our country can attract inward investment and that local resources and competencies can be used at a global level,” said Veeam’s Managing Director of Bucharest Operations, Andrei Romanescu. “We are proud that we can offer young specialists the opportunity to apply their competencies in their own country.”
